Why did I decide to start blogging?
- Putting my life on a social platform with the things I am passionate about can be scary – but also so rewarding. I am young and have had plenty of struggles that any young female has had. With the journey I have been on, I have found blogs, instagram profiles and much more so helpful in my day-to-day life. I decided that with all I have collected, I wanted to try to reach other females if I could!
What do I mean when I say “my journey”?
In the past 5 years (almost 6… WOW!), I have embarked on a healthier lifestyle journey. I was a senior in high school when I finally realized I was not healthy. Yes, I was an athlete, I played sports and did well… but I wasn’t healthy.
I wasn’t taking care of my body. I coped with all life had thrown at me with food (not nutritious foods too I might add), and I didn’t push myself to any sort of physical exercise limits.
In January of 2015, I decided to take a leap and start running. By running I mean jog for 30 seconds, walk for a minute and a half. In over 5 years, I have progressed. Being able to run a consistent 4-6 miles, and diving into CrossFit where I have found so much passion for health, lifestyle changes and being involved with a community that pushes me to be my best self… even if that means taking a day off!
So throughout this journey of writing I am about to embark on, I hope you embrace my writing and thoughts with open arms and you are able to find some comfort and motivation with what I provide.
